Medical & Fitness Disclaimer
Fitholae publishes general fitness and nutrition information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Last updated 2 August 2026.
Not medical advice
Nothing on this site — including generated workouts, meal plans, calculator outputs and articles — replaces consultation with a qualified doctor, registered dietitian or licensed physiotherapist. Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here.
Speak to a doctor first if you
Some situations need clinical input before starting any programme.
- Are pregnant, postpartum or breastfeeding
- Manage diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, cardiac or kidney conditions
- Are recovering from surgery or an injury
- Have a history of eating disorders
- Are under 16 or over 65 and new to structured exercise
Calculator limitations
Our calculators use published population formulas — Mifflin-St Jeor, the US Navy circumference method, Epley and Brzycki, and Devine/Robinson/Miller. Population formulas carry individual error and can be materially wrong for athletes, very lean or very heavy individuals, and people with atypical body proportions. Treat every output as an estimate and track trends over time.
Sources and review
Health content is checked against WHO and ICMR guidance and peer-reviewed exercise-science literature, and reviewed by the Fitholae coaching and nutrition teams before publication. Read our editorial and medical review policies on the About page.
